What is Cortolima?
A public corporate entity established by law, made up of territorial entities that, due to their characteristics, geographically form the same ecosystem or create a geopolitical, biogeographical, or hydrogeographical unit. They have administrative and financial autonomy, their own assets, and legal personality, and are responsible by law for managing the environment and renewable natural resources within their jurisdiction while promoting sustainable development in line with legal regulations and the policies of the Ministry of Environment.
Project challenge
In collaboration with TOOLES (a startup from the group), we’re supporting the processes and digital transformation of the entire corporation by applying innovative processes and agile development and implementation methodologies. Now, citizens can submit requests for any of the 26 environmental procedures online. Once a request is received by the organization, it enters an internal timeline of tasks and processes distributed among more than 34 internal roles until it goes through all the stages of approval.- Another challenge is to unify the processes of the 34 roles within the organization, bridging the gap between the current state and the desired future state.
- We need to identify the processes that can be automated and digitized.

- The goal is to design a product with a memorable user experience to make it easier for both officials and citizens to adopt.
