What is Evalmax?
An #edtech startup from the DV portfolio that manages a grading system validated by the Colombian Ministry of Education in 2017. It’s part of the ten-year education plan as a FORMATIVE EVALUATION tool. The startup was created to effectively meet government and market demands regarding competency-based assessment.
Services offered:
- Competency certification through equivalencies from the CUOC (Unique Classification of Occupations for Colombia).
- It’s a comprehensive tool for managing occupations, competencies, learning outcomes, achievement indicators, and assessments for educational institutions and corporations.
The EvalMAX evaluation and certification system is a streamlined and automated methodology through a platform of the same name, which brings the following changes to the current evaluation process:
- Switch from vale judgment to competency judgment.
- Change ordinal value to binary value.
- Replace simple average with binary average.
- Shift from percentage weighting to ordinal weighting.
- Change a numeric value or final score to a competency profile linked to the national qualifications framework.
